Upgrading & GED

There are several ways to upgrade high school credits, or to prepare to write your GED. Whether you want to attend classes, or prefer to work online, Alexis Adult Upgrading Program has the means to help you succeed.

Academic Studies lets you fill in gaps in your high school transcript so you can earn your diploma. You can also take advantage of these courses to upgrade English, Social, Science, Math, and Stoney.

General Educational Development (GED) is a testing program for adults who have been unable to complete high school. It is a series of five tests in the core high school curriculum areas of writing, social studies, science, reading and mathematics. If you are 19 and over, and you left high school without graduating, you may want to obtain your GED Diploma. A GED Diploma is the equivalent of a High School Graduation Diploma or an Adult High School Graduation Diploma.

GED Preparation

GED preparation programs are designed to prepare students to write the GED tests required for a GED Diploma. Preparation programs are offered at Alexis Training Center for Alexis Students living on reserve and at Yellowhead Tribal College for Alexis Students living off-reserve.
